Teacher Assistant (Kindergarten)

Job purpose

As a Teacher Assistant for our Kindergarten (age 3-5), you will be joining a team of seasoned and dynamic Christian professionals who seek Christ-centered academic rigor in our teaching and learning. Holding students to high standards, you will provide logistic and classroom support which may include but are not limited to material preparation, administrative support and educational support.

The successful candidate will begin in early August 2025.

What you will do

  • Work alongside classroom teachers and provide teaching and learning support in one-on-one or small group settings.

  • Provide supervision to students and in the classroom during arrival, dismissal, break times.

  • Assist in the production of teaching materials and displays.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom, activity and storage areas.

  • Ensure child safety throughout the school campus.

We are looking for someone with

  • Strong passion and commitment to Christian education, with a positive attitude, and a growth mindset.

  • Passionate about child development. Previous experience of working with children is required.

  • Promote the welfare of children and support ICS in safeguarding children through relevant policies and procedures.

  • High school graduate or above. Holders of childcare or early childhood education qualifications are preferred but not essential.

  • Fluent written and spoken English, with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Caring and cooperative. Ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Ability to stay calm in difficult situations.
