Educational Assistant (Part-time)

Job Purpose

You will be joining a community of Christian professionals who will welcome your classroom and logistic support to the Bridges Program class teacher, including student learning and supervision, and small group instructions, etc.

The job holder will start in early August 2025.

What you will do

  • Provide learning support for students in one-on-one or small learning groups in classroom or other educational settings, as directed by the supervisor, for the purpose of meeting students’ learning goals.

  • Assist in implementing accommodation and modification strategies as directed by the supervisor

  • Prepare and administer a variety of learning aids, equipment and resources.

  • Assist teachers in maintaining student progress reports. Collect data regarding students reaching goals or objectives as directed by the supervisor.

  • Assist with the implementation of behavior modification techniques, conflict resolution strategies, problem solving models and general classroom management.

We are looking for someone with

  • Strong passion and commitment to Christian education, with a positive attitude, and a growth mindset.

  • Bachelor degree or above. Holders of special education or early childhood - primary years education qualifications preferred but not essential.

  • Passionate about education and child development. Previous experience of working with children is highly preferred.

  • Excellent organization and administrative skills. Ability to multitask in busy and intensive schedules.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitivity.

  • Native or near-native spoken English, with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage students effectively, and stay calm in difficult situations.
