Director of External Relations

Job Purpose

The Director of External Relations is responsible for spearheading the external relations of the school, with a particular focus on admissions, communication, brand awareness, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures the smooth functioning of these critical areas to support the school’s mission and strategic goals.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement strategic student acquisition and retention plans to attract and enroll qualified students, paying particular regard to the Christian mission of ICS.

  • Oversee the work of the Admissions Office, and Communications and Publications Office, setting KPI targets that are met/exceeded accordingly.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance the school’s visibility and reputation, paying particular regard to the founding mission agencies and other Gospel workers in Hong Kong.

  • Lead the development and implementation of campaigns related to branding to promote the school and its programs.

  • Develop and maintain the school calendar; oversee the scheduling and allocation of school facilities by students, staff, and external stakeholders.

  • Foster strong relationships with parents, alumni, and other stakeholders through regular and transparent communication and events.

We are looking for someone with

  • Strong commitment and passion for Christian education and leadership; modeling biblical and professional ethics and practice with integrity.

  • Consistent Christian faith and lifestyle that echo the vision, mission, and values of ICS.

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant full-time working experience in marketing and communications, preferably with experience gained in NPO/NGO or education sector.

  • Strategic planning, organization and execution of different student acquisition and brand management projects.

  • Self-initiative, outgoing with good project management ability.

  • A leader and a team player who can work with colleagues and other stakeholders.

  • Positive, confident and people centered.

  • Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.

  • Mature, decisive and with strong business acumen.

  • Resourceful with hands-on knowledge of IT and social media admin platforms.

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

  • Creative, flexible and able to multitask, and deliver quality deliverables under time and pressure.
